A few blog posts ago I mentioned that I was leaving for boracay to attend two very important weddings of two very dear couples to our Imagine Nation Family. The first one was our mentor’s wedding on July 2, which was Jong (our leader and mentor) and Monique’s wedding. I was one of the groomsmen so I was not able to shoot. For images on what took place that day you can view them at Erron and Jayjay’s site.
I owe Jason a lot for influencing me to become interested in photography. Jason was my first household head or small group leader in Singles for Christ and I have witnessed him grow and excel as a wedding photographer. Whenever I had lots of questions about photography, he would always patiently take the time to teach me. I remember when I was just starting, he would always be generous in lending me some of his equipment that I did not have, since my gear was not complete back then. Also, he was the one who introduced me to our mentor Jong. Had it not been for him, I would not have been able to know that there was an Imagine Nation…so I think you get it that I am really grateful to this guy. So when his wedding came, I definitely wanted to be part of his wedding and shoot him.
We did the same thing as Jong and Monique’s wedding wherein we divided the work among in order for everyone to enjoy and relax at their wedding at some point. Dominic and I were in charge of shooting Jason. While Jason was still attending to some wedding matters, we decided to pay Loi a visit at Discovery Shores where she was getting ready.
Before reaching Loi’s room, we bumped into Amanda (The Wedding Planner for Bora) and she told us to go inside first since she’s bringing in a surprise for Loi from Jason and told us to get ready to take shot. And as she comes in….
She hands loi this package from Jason…
Loi’s make-up was done by the fun and talented Jesy Alto…Erron’s fiance by the way 🙂
Loi’s gown made by Cecilio Abad, one of the wedding industry’s top gown designers.
Time to get to business and shoot Jason. We started to shoot his details and took them out for some fun in the sun…
While we were out shooting on the beach, we chanced upon the Imagine Nation gang getting some tan before the wedding. So I took some snaps of them.
Back to Jason…
Check out the kicks that Jason’s sister-in-law gave him…that’s his trademark oakleys’ by the way.
What’s this? A surprise from Loi too!
The invite was the party or event where they first met.
Jason was also sporting a Cecilio Abad designed suit. Lookin’ sharp as ever bro!
Some shots with the best men and groomsmen.
The best men, Pat and Taffy.
The groomsmen, AS and Ricardo.
Then I was off to change and got ready for church and Jamie took over covering Jason. I was able to get a few snaps of the couple before the reception.
Another great and memorable wedding, Congratulations Jason and Loi! For more of the pics from the reception check out my facebook site.
